The Merelyn

I’m Merel, playful at heart, in love with color, imagination, and a touch of magic. I’ve always felt drawn to the world of fantasy and fairytales, where everything feels a little softer, brighter, and full of possibility.

The Merelyn is a small creative studio with a big heart, a place where imagination is free and anything can come to life. It started as a personal journey, a way to reconnect with myself. During this time, I began painting, often creating fantasy animals. As a child, I was always playing, creating, and wandering through my own fantasy and fairytale world.

One morning, I had the idea to send these painted animals to friends, each one paired with a personal message, like a small daily note. From there, it naturally grew into the Merelyn card game, a collection of questions that gently guide you back to yourself. Along the way, this journey brought me closer to myself, back to love, softness, and what has always been there. Little by little, the world of The Merelyn began to take shape.

It naturally became something for both children and adults, for anyone who wants to reconnect with that playful, imaginative part of themselves.

What started as something small has grown into a collection of handmade pieces, each one created with intention and care. My mother helps me with the felted animals, just like when I was younger, when we were always doing something creative. Each piece carries its own story and a gentle reminder.

The story friends, travel friends, and cozy friends are more than just objects. They are little characters, each with their own personality, here to comfort, inspire, and bring a bit of joy into everyday life.

Playfulness, magic, and love are at the heart of everything we create. My hope is that these pieces find a special place in your home and in your heart.
